YORK COUNTY SOLID WASTE AUTHORITY APPROVES 2025 BUDGET WITH $4.00/TON INCREASE IN THE COST FOR WASTE DISPOSAL. 

The tipping fee (cost for disposal) for York County processible municipal solid waste at the York County Resource Recovery Center (RRC) for 2025 will increase from $79.00 per ton to $83.00 per ton. This increase represents a 5.1 percent increase. The minimum fee to dispose of waste will be $20 for up to 480 pounds.              

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

Penn Waste will need to increase its quarterly rate per home by $0.99 per quarterly billing. 

Your original rate for January 2025 was:

• $90.10 Per Quarter for a 96-Gallon Toter
• $88.72 Per Quarter for a 64 or 35-Gallon Toter 

The new quarterly rate for York Township will be effective January 1, 2025:

• $91.09 Per Quarter for a 96-Gallon Toter
• $89.68 Per Quarter for a 64 or 35-Gallon Toter
