Unwavering Bravery

On Wednesday, August 21, York Township volunteer firefighters responded to a fire in the 500 block of Albemarle Street in Spring Garden Township around 11:35 p.m. Deputy Chief Sean Smith, Captain Tony Goeb, and Firefighter Ryan Blackwell acted quickly and effectively to save the life of a 9-year-old child trapped in the burning building. York Township residents can be assured that we are safer due to our hero volunteer firefighters. While they juggle everyday lives, jobs, and families, when disaster strikes, they answer the call for help with unwavering bravery.  You too can be a member of this remarkable team; our volunteer fire departments need you.
