Shape the Future of our Parks: Your Voice Matters!

As our community continues to grow and evolve, so do our beloved parks and trails. York Township is embarking on an exciting journey to develop a Park Master Plan and a Trail Feasibility Study. We need your input to ensure our newest park at 155 Oak Road and a trail on the former utility corridor serve everyone in our community.

WHY YOUR INPUT IS VITAL: Our parks and trails are more than just patches of greenery; they are vital spaces for recreation, relaxation, and connection. Whether you’re an avid hiker, a parent with young children, or someone who enjoys a peaceful stroll, your experiences and ideas are crucial in shaping a vision that reflects our collective aspirations.

To make this vision a reality, we’ve launched a community survey designed to gather insights from residents like you. Your feedback will help guide decisions on everything from trail expansion and new park features to maintenance priorities and accessibility improvements. By taking just a few minutes to complete the survey, you can play a significant role in enhancing our parks and trails for generations to come. JOIN US AT THE PUBLIC MEETING: In addition to the survey, we invite you to attend our public meeting for the Park Master Plan and Trail Feasibility Study. This meeting is a fantastic opportunity to engage directly with planners, share your thoughts, and hear from fellow community members. Here, you’ll get a firsthand look at plan findings and potential improvements and have the chance to contribute ideas and voice concerns.

Event Details: Wednesday, September 25 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the York Township Municipal Building

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

  1. Complete the Survey: Visit https://metroquestsurvey.com/js6k6q and share your thoughts and preferences. Every response counts and will be carefully considered in the planning process.
  2. Attend the Public Meeting: Mark your calendar and bring your ideas! Your presence and participation are invaluable to creating a master plan that truly serves our community.

SPREAD THE WORD: We encourage you to spread the word to friends, family, and neighbors. The more input we receive, the better we can tailor our new park and trail to serve everyone’s needs. Share the survey link, invite others to the meeting, and discuss the master plan with your community groups.

Together, we can create a network of parks and trails that not only meet our current needs but also inspire and delight future generations. Your involvement is the key to making this happen. Let’s work together to build a greener, more vibrant York Township.
